Patty BergloffPrograms and Volunteer Coordinator
Patty B joined the Refuge KC team in the summer of 2016 and serves as the Programs & Volunteer Coordinator.
Patty came to know the Lord as Savior in her mid-30s. Her involvement in missions began as an opportunity to teach her daughter, Ashley -- never realizing that God had a plan for Patty to serve, too. After living in small-town Lathrop, Missouri for 14 years (and a brief bit in Liberty, Missouri), Patty moved down to the Historic Northeast in the summer of 2017 to become a true neighbor to those coming to Kansas City from around the world. This small-town girl has never regretted her decision, though urban-core living did have some initial challenges! In 2021, Patty retired from her full-time job after 37 years of service with the Federal government. Now Patty enjoys living among those we serve and enjoying front-porch time with her Congolese and Burmese neighbors. Patty's daughter, Ashley, and son-in-law, Justin, reside in Corpus Christi, Texas. Justin is a Pastor at Yorktown Baptist Church. Ashley is an English school teacher at Mary Carroll High School. |
