Help us prepare refugee family for winter.

Help Refuge provide a “Warm Welcome” to newly arriving refugee families arriving from much warmer climates.  Our warm clothing drive is a great opportunity for families, groups of friends, and congregations to join together to minister in a simple way to those God has brought to us from around the world.  The local church and community join together to provide the means for our newest neighbors to survive the tough Kansas City winters.

We are looking for the type of winter outerwear items a refugee would wear while waiting for the bus in the middle of January, limited to the following new or gently used items: warm coats, hats, mittens, gloves, scarves, warm socks, and boots.

Individual Donations

We accept individual donations of a new or gently used item or group of items.

Full Warm Welcome Kit

Provide an entire refugee family with all of their specific warm clothing needs; this is a suitable project for a small group or a family.

Resource Drive

​ Coordinate a resource drive for a particular clothing item or set of items through your church or local group.

To ensure the quality of donated items reflects the dignity of those we serve, we can only accept clean, gently used or new outerwear items.

​We generally accept gifts for a Warm Welcome during our fall and winter months.
